Team Info

Famed Offshore Racing is APBA/Race World Offshore’s newest race team, based out of Key West Florida. Our Sponsors are critical to the journey and success of our participation in Race World Offshore (RWO) seasons ahead. Offshore powerboat racing is the most exciting water-sport in North America, with an intensely loyal group of competitors and fans from across the world.

Framed Offshore Racing will be participating in six events within the American Power Boat Association’s national points series. Culminating in the Race World Offshore World Championship being held in Key West, Florida. The week-long event is not only an exciting event but family friendly. Allowing spectators to experience the true nature of the sport by being able to walk through the pits, seeing the boats up close and interacting with members of the race team. It’s an event like none other and one that you have the experience to believe.

We look forward to having your support throughout this journey and are excited for the opportunity your sponsorship would have with our team, the fans, and the sport. Let’s bring home the checked flag #FORtheWin!

The Events
In the 1970’s, The Benihana Offshore Grand Prix paved the way for what is known today as one of the most prestigious water sports in the world: Offshore Powerboat Racing. Today, RWO brings unparalleled excitement to waterfronts across the United States. As the premier sanctioning bodies for the sport, RWO continues to elevate the profile of offshore racing by refining the organization’s rules and goals, expanding participation categories, and bringing national attention and television coverage to the sport. Indeed, the appeal of offshore racing is hard to resist; a warm-weather sport with sandy beaches as grandstands, big city skylines as backdrops, and funky beachside villages where fans can partake of food, drinks, and entertainment. RWO has brought back a time reminiscent of the popular old Benihana Grand Prix. Welcoming racers and fans from across the country and around the world. RWO is taking offshore racing to a level of popularity never before seen!

Driver & Throttleman

John - Driver

John has enjoyed being on the water and in the outdoors his whole life. Growing up in Florida gave him an appreciation and love for the water. At the age of 14 John moved to Virginia with his family and found his career passion. At the age of 16 he started volunteering with the Fire Department and never looked back! Serving the community through the fire service was his calling, which led to volunteering though High School and College. John became a career firefighter, where he has been for 16 years. In the fire service he was able to not only serve the community, but also include his love for the water. Becoming a swiftwater technician and boat operator. “Operating a boat with precision in class 4 water is an amazing and very challenging experience!”. John utilizes his experiences managing high pressure citations while behind the boat. He and his wife Ashley have been married for 12 years and have two children. He is very excited to be a part of the ever growing sport of Offshore Boat Racing with his good friend and throttleman Michael Flammia!

Mike - Throttleman

Mike was born and raised in Fairfax, VA. His dad was a winning top fuel racer in the late 1960’s thru the late 1980’s. Growing up around boats his whole life, boat racing was in Mike’s blood. Electrician by trade, he started his Virginia based commercial electrical company in 1993. He and his wife of 12 years, Jennifer, started coming back to Key West for the boat races 8 years ago. After the trips started to get longer, they decided to buy a home, 2 art galleries, and relocate to Key West full time. The love of boat racing never wavered and after sponsoring a competitive race boat, Mike decided to jump straight in and start his own race team with best friend, John Jeniec.
